Unwinding of the retail onslaught

In the wake of the on-going financial crisis one business venture that is continuing to stand out is the traditional retailer of the neighbourhood. Large retail establishments have not been able to dent their existence in any way whatsoever.

The traditional neighbourhood retails stores seem to have won this round of threat to their existence from branded and large scale retail operations. Expansions plans of all malls that were mushrooming all over the country have scrapped or postponed indefinitely.

In fact, the condition of many of the existing malls atleast in the smaller cities of the country is not very good. In fact, some have downed their shutters while many are in the process of downsizing.
